Tüm dünya çizerlerine açık olan yarışma iki kategoride düzenleniyor:
A) Genç kategorisi: 15 (dahil) yaşa kadar,
B) Yetişkin kategorisi: 16 yaş ve üstü çizerler.
Konu (Theme): EVREN (The Universe).
Ayrıca Uluslararası Af Örgütü (Amnesty International) bir özel ödül ile yine katkı veriyor; 2026 konusu: İfade Özgürlüğü (Right to freedom of expression).
Sayı: Her konuda en çok 5 adet yazısız karikatür gönderebilirsiniz: Dijital üretilmiş ya da orijinal çizimden taranmış, JPEG formatta, en az 300 dpi (2480 x 3543 piksel) çözünürlükte dosya olarak gönderilecektir (300 dpi ve daha yüksek çözünürlükte taranmış/üretilmiş eserler yarışma sitesine yüklenebilmektedir; daha düşük çözünürlükte dosyalar otomatik olarak geri çevrilmektedir:

Teknik: Siyah-beyaz veya renkli.
Boyut: Standart (paspartu payı dahil) 21 x 30 cm (A4).
Katılım, doğrudan yarışma sitesindeki formu doldurup eser yüklemek suretiyle yapılacaktır.
Seçilen eserler bir albümde toplanacak ve bu albüm seçilen eser sahiplerine sergi açılışında verilecek, gelemedikleri taktirde postayla yollanacaktır.
Kazanan eserler düzenleyen kurum veya konu sponsorunun mülkiyetine geçer. Seçilen eserler etkinlik ve beldenin tanıtımı amacıyla kullanılabilir.
Dikkat: Ödül kazanan çizerin biyografisi ve fotoğrafı, düzenleyen kuruluşun talep ettiği tarihi izleyen 2 gün içerisinde yarışma adresine gönderilmek gerekecektir.
Ödüller:
Genç kategorisi: Belçikalı bir katılımcıya 250 Avro, yabancı bir katılımcıya 250 Avro (Belçikalı katılımcılardan ödüllük bir eser seçilemezse, bu ödül de genç kategorisindeki yabancı katılımcılardan ikinci sırada seçilen çizere yönlendirilecektir).
Yetişkin kategorisi: 1500, 700, 400, 300 Avro.
"İfade Özgürlüğü" konulu Özel Ödül: 500 Avro.
Ödül töreni: 13 Kasım 2026 Cuma 20:00, Olen şehir meclisi "De Meent" salonu, 2250 Olen. Katılım serbesttir. Ödül kazananlar özel olarak davet edilecektir.
Katılım site adresinden yapılmalıdır; haberleşme için kullanılan kartoenale@olen.be adresine eser yollamayınız. Eserlerin 1 Temmuz'dan itibaren gönderilmesi isteniyor. Dolayısıyla, katılım formu ve eser yükleme sayfası o tarihte kullanıma açılacaktır.

The Olense Kartoenale cartoon competition has officially started.
This year we invite you to unleash your creativity on the main theme “The Universe.” Amnesty International introduces the special theme “Right to freedom of expression.”

The competition, open to artists from all over the world, is organized in two categories:
A) Youth category: up to 15 years of age (inclusive),
B) Adult category: artists aged 16 and above.
Subject (Theme): The UNIVERSE (The Universe).
In addition, Amnesty International is also contributing with a special award; 2026 topic: Right to freedom of expression (Right to freedom of expression).
Number: You can send up to 5 unwritten cartoons on each topic: Digitally produced or scanned from the original drawing, in JPEG format, at least 300 dpi (2480 x 3543 pixels) resolution will be sent as a file (works scanned/produced at 300 dpi and higher resolution can be uploaded to the competition site; files at lower resolution are automatically rejected:

Technique: Black-and-white or color.
Size: Standard (including mat board margin) 21 x 30 cm (A4).
Participation will be done by filling out the form on the competition website and uploading the entry.
The selected works will be collected in an album, which will be given to the authors of the selected works at the exhibition opening; if they are unable to attend, it will be sent to them by mail. 
The winning works become the property of the organizing institution or the subject sponsor. The selected works may be used for the purpose of promoting the event and the town.
Notice: The biography and photograph of the winning illustrator must be submitted to the competition address within 2 days following the requested date by the organizing body.
Prizes:
Young category: €250 for a Belgian participant, €250 for a foreign participant (if no award-winning entry is selected from Belgian participants, this prize will be awarded to the artist ranked second in the young category among foreign participants).
Adult category: 1500, 700, 400, 300 Euros.
"Special Award on Freedom of Expression": 500 Euros.
Award ceremony: Friday, November 13, 2026 at 20:00, Olen Town Council Hall "De Meent", 2250 Olen. Admission is free. Award winners will be invited privately.
Submissions must be made through the website; do not send your work to kartoenale@olen.be for communication purposes. Works are requested to be submitted from July 1 onwards. Therefore, the submission form and work upload page will be made available on that date.

The exhibition can be visited at the same address during working hours until the end of December 2026.
