Rules and Regulations
1. All cartoonists, professional or not, are invited to take part in the online tribute,
regardless of nationality or country of residence.
2. Participants will submit ONLY ONE CARTOON as a tribute to the 10th Anniversary
of the September 11th, 2001 attacks, in jpg format with a 300 dpi resolution, using any
technique, color or combination of colors.
3. The participating cartoons could not have been previously published or have won
awards in any contest or event.
4. The deadline to submit works is Sunday August 28, 2011.
5. Participating cartoons will be emailed to the Festival official address.
6. The Jury will be made up by five internationally recognized cartoonists and their
decisions cannot be appealed. The Jury will choose the cartoons that will make up the
Online Salon, the Awards and Honorable Mentions.
7. Each participant will fill out an Entry Form with his/her name, home and electronic
addresses, phone number and country of residence. Each participant will also submit a
brief resume.
8. The submission of the Entry Form implies that the participant accepts these Rules and
Regulations, turns over all rights of his/her cartoon to BOSTOONS and authorizes the
Salon organizers to publish it on the media and/or the Internet. The acceptance of these
Rules and Regulations also conveys the turnover of the aforementioned rights to third
parties without limitations. BOSTOONS has the right to exhibit, archive and publish
the cartoon on the media and/or the Internet without limitations.
9. BOSTOONS reserves the right not to exhibit cartoons that may attempt against
individual and/or collective rights.
10. Participation in this contest supposes the acceptance of these Rules and Regulations
without reservations.
11. The Online Salon will open on Sunday, September 11, 2011, at 8:30 am, Eastern
Standard Time of the United States, at this address http://bostoonsfestival.com

FIRST PRIZE: USD 300.00
SECOND PRIZE: USD 125.00
THIRD PRIZE: USD 75.00
The Jury will award as many Honorable Mentions as they deem necessary. |
